Many changes to the project over the last couple of months. The on coming cold weather has the different contractors rushing to finish other commitments. So timing and scheduling is always an issue.

The following pictures show the foundation being installed and the house being loaded.


Notice the beams and the channels left in the foundation to remove the beams.

Okay. It has been over a year since we started. The project has blossomed. The saying " It will be wonderful when it is finished " rings in my head everyday.

Today the foundation forms are finished. Tomorrow the cement will be pumped into the forms. The forms stay up for 2 days. Friday the forms will be removed. Next Monday the landscapers will be able to drive through the house to finish the walls and patio. The house will come down sometime within 2 weeks. Things are getting crazy. Lots of simultaneous work comes into play in the next 3 weeks. Oh yes materials start to arrive next week also.

More stones has arrived for the walls and courtyard.
Hope to have the addition and house ready by Jan.

How high can it go or is it how low can you go?

It has been awhile since the last post. Lots has happened since then

A demolition guy has come in and started to blast the ledge. The big rocks are getting smaller.

D&K House Movers raised the house up 4 ft in 2 days!!!!!

The digging should be much easier and quicker.


It is very hard to beieve it when you see the house. You have to compare pictures from the beginning to appreciate it.

start up is around the corner

With the weather changing the project will be starting up again.

It is going to be nerve racking.
